Getting Started

What is WorkAid Dunning?

WorkAid Dunning is an automated payment recovery service for Stripe-powered businesses. When a customer's payment fails, we automatically send a sequence of friendly reminder emails and help them update their payment details — recovering revenue you'd otherwise lose.

How do I connect my Stripe account?

After registering, you'll be prompted to connect your Stripe account via Stripe Connect OAuth. This takes about 60 seconds — click "Connect Stripe", authorise the connection, and you're done. We never store your Stripe secret key.

Do I need to change anything in my app?

No code changes required. WorkAid Dunning connects directly to your Stripe account and listens for webhook events. There's nothing to install in your codebase.

How long does setup take?

Most customers are fully set up and receiving dunning emails within 10 minutes of signing up. The only steps are: register, connect Stripe, and optionally customise your email templates.


Emails & Sequences

How many emails does the dunning sequence send?

The default sequence is 3 emails: a friendly reminder shortly after the failure, a follow-up nudge at ~30 hours, and a final warning at 4 days. All emails include a direct link to Stripe's secure billing portal for the customer to update their card.

Can I customise the email content or timing?

Email branding (logo, sender name, reply-to address) is configurable from your dashboard settings. Custom sequence timing and template text editing is on our roadmap and will be available to Pro subscribers.

What happens when a payment is recovered?

As soon as Stripe reports a successful payment, all pending dunning emails are automatically cancelled and the customer receives a payment confirmed email. The recovery is logged to your analytics dashboard.

Are dunning emails sent from my domain?

Emails are sent from WorkAid's verified sending infrastructure but display your configured sender name and reply-to address. Custom domain sending (so emails appear from your own domain) is a planned Pro feature.


Billing & Pricing

Is there a free trial?

Yes. You can sign up for free and get early access during our launch period. Full paid tiers are £25/month or £250/year for the Pro plan (up to 500 subscribers). Enterprise pricing is available for larger volumes — contact us for a quote.

What counts as a "subscriber"?

A subscriber is any unique Stripe customer who has had at least one payment event (success or failure) processed through WorkAid Dunning in the current billing period. Customers with cancelled subscriptions do not count towards your limit.

What happens if I exceed 500 subscribers on the Pro plan?

You'll receive a warning notification at 400 subscribers and again at 500. You won't be cut off immediately — we'll reach out to discuss an Enterprise plan to suit your volume.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, no lock-in. Cancel your subscription from the dashboard at any time. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period.


Security & Privacy

How do you handle my customers' data?

We store only the minimum data needed: Stripe customer IDs, email addresses (fetched from Stripe at send time), and event metadata. We do not store card numbers, CVVs, or any payment instrument details. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is WorkAid Dunning GDPR compliant?

Yes. All data is processed under legitimate interest and contractual necessity grounds. You can request deletion of your account and all associated customer data at any time. We act as a data processor on your behalf.

Where is my data stored?

WorkAid Dunning runs on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Event data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) within Cloudflare's EU/US data centres. We do not use third-party analytics services that track your customers.
